Terms and Conditions

These terms and “the order” are considered by us to form the whole agreement. If any of these terms are inconsistent with the order or agreed amendments, the order shall prevail including any agreed amendments. Any specific requirements or alterations to these terms must be put in writing to the Company and will not become a condition of this contract until agreed in writing by the Company. The Company only accepts statements or representations made by authorised employees or agents. Orders are individually processed, and materials not used in their intended location cannot be credited or reprocessed by the Company

Returns & Cancellations

How much notice do I need to give to amend or cancel my order?

This is obviously time sensitive, so, it’s important to contact us within 24 hours of placing your order if you wish to cancel or make changes to it. Due to the bespoke nature of tailor-made and made to measure blinds, once manufactured they cannot be returned*. However, if you change your mind before your order has gone into production, we may be able to halt production or make amendments to it, unfortunately this can’t always be guaranteed. To avoid this, make sure to double check you order confirmation once you receive it to make sure all the details are correct. 


To give you complete peace of mind and confidence in our quality made products, we offer a 1 year guarantee on all our made to measure blinds. Simply put, if any mechanical component fails within 1 years of manufacture we will either repair or replace it.

All our products are made to the highest standard using only quality UK materials and parts wherever possible. We guaranteed them to be free from manufacturing or assembly faults provided they are correctly installed in a domestic environment.

The guarantee we offer is straightforward and easy to understand, this is what it covers. 

The extended guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of defective or faulty components or parts only and will be on a like for like or similar parts basis. All guarantee claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase along with details regarding the nature of the problem. We will not accept receipt of goods without a returns allocation number which will be issued when you contact our customer services department.


This guarantee is invalid if the failure or damage was caused by:

Exposure to elements
Normal wear and tear
Fitted in a non-domestic environment
Failure to correctly follow installation, measurement, maintenance or cleaning instructions

Wood or Wooden products – Warpage due to exposure to high humidity, extreme heat, natural variations in colour, grain and texture.

Faux Wood Blinds – Warpage due to exposure to high temperature areas exceeding 55 degrees Celsius.

Fabrics and dyes – normal fading.

Samples – We will not, under any circumstances refund or replace a product due to unsuitability where a free sample has not been obtained prior to order.

This guarantee is exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, warranties or liabilities. Blinds World s will not accept claims for any consequential liability whatsoever including reinstallation costs or making good where a product has been removed. Please note that because you are purchasing a custom made item, it will not be covered by the Distance Selling regulations in regard to a cooling off period or a returns policy. Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee.

How long does it take for the blinds to be fitted from the date of ordering?

Depending on which type of blind you order, our blinds can take anything between one week and four weeks to manufacture and fit. This varies at different times of the year as demand changes.

What deposit will I need to Pay?

All our blinds are made to measure. Your blinds are made just for you to the exact measurements of your home or office. Once you have received your Quotation from one of our team and are happy to go ahead, we take a minimum of 25% deposit on vertical blinds and roller blinds and 50% deposit on all other blind types to allow the order to go into production.

When Is the Balance Due?

The balance is due on the day of fitting,

Do I need to take my old blinds down before you fit my new ones?

Before our Blinds World Team arrive for fitting, please clear the window area and If you are able to take your old blinds down, then that would be a great help and speeds up the installation time. If, however you’re unable to take them down beforehand then our team will be happy to do this. There will be minimum charge of £5 per window (subject to size and time to remove this)

Can I rearrange my fitting? And is there a charge?

Blinds World Ltd do not charge to rearrange a fitting and the easiest way to rearrange is to call our friendly team on 0800 002 5051.


Can I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment by calling our customer services team on 0800 002 5051.

How much is an appointment?

Blinds World Ltd appointments are FREE and no cost will be added to the product (Blinds) when purchased.

Do you offer appointments after 6pm?

Yes, you can book an appointment with our team up until 9pm at night. We are available to complete evening and weekend appointments on request by the client only. You can either book through our online booking form or give us a ring on 0800 002 5051 and a member of our friendly team will arrange a time & date to fit around your schedule.

Changes and Cancellations

Because many of our products are custom made to your exact specifications, they are not suitable for anyone else. Therefore, it is important that you are sure of your purchase decisions prior to finalising your order. Unless there is a delay in placing your order because we need additional information from you, an order received from you will normally be sent for production the next day.

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellations and Changes in orders can only be made for a period of 24 hours after your order is finalised. Blinds World Ltd cannot refund any money or issue any credits for a purchase if the cancellation or change occurs at any time beyond this 24 hours’ period unless allowable by the manufacturer.

Occasionally there may be delays caused by out-of-stock materials, shipping delays, temporary factory overload, holidays, or other factors beyond the control of Blinds World Ltd and its associates. In the event of a known delay, we will advise you immediately. Blinds World Ltd. reserves the right to reject any order, at its discretion.

Fitting & Installation

How long will I have to wait for my blinds to be fitted?

Your blinds will be ready to be fitted two to three weeks after you place your order with us and paid a deposit. Your blinds advisor will arrange the fitting time with you when you place your order.

How long will a blind fitting take?

This depends upon the type of order you have placed. Your advisor will be able to inform you of this at the appointment stage.

Delivery Time

Delivery times given are estimates based on normal production and shipping times. Delivery times may vary depending on the product. The estimated delivery times include working days after our receipt of your completed order and exclude weekends and holidays. On occasions, there may also be delays caused by out-of-stock merchandise, inventory-taking, temporary factory overload, or other unforeseen problems. Blinds World Ltd is not responsible for shipping delays caused by problems, which are beyond its reasonable control.

Inspect Your Merchandise

Please check your product (Blinds) carefully after fitting with your agent/ fitter. Inspect your merchandise as soon as you receive it and notify Blinds World Ltd. immediately if the merchandise has been damaged in any way. Also, please check to make sure that the products you ordered were made exactly as you specified on your order. Contact us immediately if you have any questions or concerns about your new windows.

Mounting and Safety

Basic hardware is provided for installation of blinds and shades as well as for drapery hardware. In some cases, you may require screws for mounting into different materials such as drywall, wood, metal or concrete. You may also require insert plugs for securely mounting into drywall. Regardless of the mounting material, please ensure that all brackets are securely mounted with at least 2 screws. Failure to secure window coverings properly can result in damage to the window covering, your walls, floors, trim, windows and furnishings and may pose a severe safety hazard.  Any cords, chains or strings pose a severe strangulation hazard and MUST be kept away from children. Use cord tidy, ring or other hold down devices where applicable.
